Community guidelines
Last updated 1 November 2026
SafeReach exists so that no woman has to walk home alone and afraid. It works because strangers are willing to help strangers, and that only holds if everyone here behaves well. These guidelines are short, and we mean them. They are part of our terms of use.
For everyone
- Be truthful. Use your real name and a photo that looks like you.
- Never raise a false alarm. It pulls real people away from someone who needs them.
- Treat everyone with respect, whichever side of an alert you are on.
- Report genuine concerns, not annoyances.
- In real danger, call 112 first.
For buddies
- Only go live when you are actually able to help.
- Only accept an alert you intend to answer. Accepting and not turning up is worse than not accepting.
- Follow the lead of the person who asked for help. It is her situation.
- Never ask for money, favours or personal contact details.
- Your safety matters too. If something feels wrong, step back and call 112 rather than putting yourself at risk.
Meeting safely
- Meet in a public, well-lit place where other people are around, such as a station entrance, a busy shop or a main road.
- Do not go to someone’s home, get into a vehicle with them, or go somewhere quiet together.
- Tell a trusted contact who you are meeting and where.
- If the person is not who their profile shows, do not go with them. Leave and report it.
Respect privacy
- What you learn about someone during a session stays with you.
- Never share another member’s location, tracking link, name or photos with anyone else.
- Do not photograph, record or post anything about another member.
- Use someone’s location only to help them, and only while they are asking for help.
What gets you removed
Depending on what happened, we may warn you, remove your verification, suspend your account or remove you permanently. We act quickly on:
- false or prank SOS alerts;
- harassment, threats, stalking or following someone;
- pretending to be someone else, or using someone else’s ID or photo;
- an account held by anyone who is not a woman aged 18 or over;
- sharing or misusing another member’s location, photos or personal details;
- asking for money, or using SafeReach to sell anything;
- anything else listed in our terms of use.
Where the law requires, we report unlawful activity to the police.
How to report and block
Report a member from the menu at the top of a chat, after a session, or by writing to support@safereach.live. Tell us who was involved, what happened and when. Reports are read by a person. From the same menu you can block a member: the chat ends, and neither of you can send the other a chat request or a message. If you are in danger, call 112 first; serious matters should also go to the police.
